very informative story……but it pisses me off..they should not be getting a dime… I dont care how many jobs it saves… My job wasnt saved… this is protectionism…. in researching more about hedge funds I came across a few books that were fascinating ..honest, and informative…..Hedge Fund Trading Secrets Revealed by Robert Dorfman… and Confessions of a Street Addict by Jim Cramer….both these books take you on a great ride about hedge funds and how they make money. I learned about this secret society than I ever would have imagined

What is this obsession with what we are in is called? Does it matter when you pay your bills? When the government is planning on and has already bailed out those who are not only operating a business by making bad decisions but they are doing things that are against the law. When Maddoff has been stealing for over a decade tally is currently at over 50 Billion, when Dreier has been involved in identity theft and stealing and his firm can file for bankruptcy, when Bank of America who has the top two ranking for identity theft is given bailout money? The bailout money is not free, it is paid for by you and I. The tax payers of this country need to stop this now. We should say no more. What are your thoughts?

As to your question of how many more frauds are out there, I don’t have a good feeling that the SEC will ever have a good handle on it.

Whatever bits and pieces of info have been made available in the press, the motherlode of information on Madoff should be the SEC. Apparently not, though.

Madoff’s company, Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, LLC, had to report to the SEC, like any securities firm. But according to the No More Corporate Secrets blog, there’s very little meaningful information in their online reports.

Whatever information is contained in the auditor’s report is essentially unavailable, as the report is not posted in the SEC’s EDGAR database:

What a slime.

He said it was nothing more than “a Ponzi scheme.” No, it was a Madoff scheme, he put Ponzi’s game to shame.

I wonder how many others there are like him. Time will tell.
